Getting Started
You’re interested in becoming a distance learning student…what do you
do next? Here are a few checklist items we suggest before applying
to Southern Poly:
1. Take the Distance learning Self-assessment.
This 10 question assessment will give you insight into whether distance
learning is
a good educational choice for you.
2. Peruse the On-line Orientation to gain a better understanding of the services SPSU offers our distance
students as well as what
you will need in order to be successful in a distance learning
program. After your admissions application has been accepted, you
will need
to go back and review this page in detail to learn about registering
for classes, financial aid, etc.
3. If you haven’t already done so, review the Degrees
and Certificates offered and decide what type of program you
are interested in pursuing. We also encourage you to contact the
department offering the program and speak to a faculty member. Click
here for contact information for specific departments.
4. Call or email us to request an application packet be mailed
to you with specific information about your area of interest.
Be sure
to state whether you will be an undergraduate, graduate, or
certificate student. Our contact information is:
Phone: 678.915.SPSU or 1-800-635-3204
Email: admissions@spsu.edu
Taking these steps will make you well-informed and well on your
way to becoming a distance learning student. Welcome to Southern
Polytechnic State University!
