Grant Development Center

Welcome to the Grant Development Center (GDC). This web site is intended to acquaint the University community with the support services available through the GDC. We encourage faculty and staff to utilize our web site to pursue their research interests, identify funding sources, and learn more about the proposal writing and submission process.

We provide:

• Free access to funding databases to such groups as the Community of Science
• Grant-writing workshops
• Assistance and advice on navigating the often-confusing world of proposal writing.

Mission

The mission of the Grant Development Center (GDC) is to identify, cultivate, and secure sources of external funding on behalf of Southern Polytechnic State University. The GDC endeavors to enhance faculty and staff opportunities for creative and scholarly research and development and to enhance SPSU’s programs and services. Toward this end, the GDC monitors proposals generated and provides the information, assistance, and services needed to enable SPSU faculty and staff to develop and secure external funding.
